Church Family,

We are right in the middle of the Advent season. May we all continue to wait for, expect, and celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ. Here are some reminders and other important information about the Advent season at Castle Hills.

Children’s Christmas Musical – This Sunday!

This Sunday, the 11th, we get to see and hear all the exciting work that the kids have been putting into the Christmas musical. Plan to be in the regular morning service at 10:30 for a time of worship and hearing the Christmas story from the kids.
Families, please remember that there is a 10:00 dress rehearsal for the musical on Saturday!

Christmas Family Fun Night – Dec. 18, 5:00

Plan to be together with everyone on Sunday the 18th at the church for a fun, simple night of sharing, singing, games, finger foods, and more! We will have a time of “Christmas sharing” in the sanctuary to kick off the night, followed by games, hanging out, and eating in the fellowship hall.
If you would like to share a song or other Christmas talent, you need to sign-up by Monday, December 12 by emailing the church office (office@castlehillsnaz.com) and letting us know what you would like to do. This will help us plan our time together!
Please plan to bring some finger foods and/or dessert to share and invite your friends and family to this fun night!

Offering for Africa – December 18 & 24

As we have journeyed through the first two weeks of Advent Conspiracy, we have been challenged to Worship Fully and Spend Less this Christmas, as we try to return to the beautiful meaning of Christmas: God is with us. We will continue Advent Conspiracy on the 18th with Give More.
One of the ways that we have an opportunity to give more this Christmas is to help provide the basic needs for people. Millions of people around the world, and especially right now in the Horn of Africa, don’t even have clean water and food to eat.

On the 18th, in both the morning service and the evening fun night, and on the 24th during the Christmas Eve service, we will receive an offering for the Horn of Africa. Jesus said that when we care for and love “the least of these” by feeding, clothing, and giving drink, we have loved Jesus himself. How can you love others and love Jesus this Christmas? What can you give?

Angel Tree

If you are planning to give a gift for children through the Salvation Army Angel Tree, please remember that the gifts need to be returned to the church by Tuesday the 13th. If you want to bring a gift that was not mentioned on a tag, please do. If the tags on the tree are not something you could donate, but something else is, please bring whatever you are able to bring. Thank you!
